DEVELOPMENT

growing our plants

To create a unique and alien-like feel for the game's plants, we drew inspiration
from unusual plant species found on Earth in addition to those seen in movies like
Alien and Avatar. Through the exploration of various shapes, colors, textures, and movement
we designed and animated the visually striking and otherworldly plants you see in-game.

from holograms
to puzzles

Originally, the main gameplay interactions of Project G.A.R.D.E.N.S. were designed to incorporate the use of faux-holograms. We found that switching to a connection-based gameplay model better aligns with the theme of activating resources to save Corydalis B’s plant life and has resulted in a more engaging and rewarding experience overall.

a mission in motion

The aim of the game’s UI and motion graphics animation development was to produce more engaging and immersive interactions while building up our mission-focused narrative and fleshing out our gameplay mechanics. By adding motion, our multi-purpose screen designs imagine the usability and functionality of advanced technology in a dynamic and vibrant manner.
